Bio

Charly lives with his parents and three siblings. His dad is retired from the sugar cane company. He receives retirement benefits. Charly is currently in 6th grade and will be graduating from primary school in November 2013. His favorite class is Spanish. In his free time, he likes to play with his friends and study for school. Charly dreams of going to technical school after high school and studying to become an electrician.

Charly is so excited to be sponsored! Thank you for this investment in his life. Charly is currently in his second year of high school and enjoys school especially being with his friends. He is a hilarious kid who always wants to be helpful. Charly is doing well in all of his classes. His Social Studies class recently changed from studying geography to studying history, and Charly has begun to learn about the Mayan, Incan, and Aztec civilizations. He class has also been studying different kinds of musical instruments. Through his sponsorship, he received his backpack, school shoes, uniform, and the school supplies he needs to be successful. He has also been able to complete several class assignments where he needed to go to an internet café to research topics.

November 2015

Charly is doing so well in his classes. He finished his second year of high school at the end of November and will begin his third year at the beginning of February. Charly is a great kid who wants to help other people. His top grades are in civics, science, and history. Charly’s history class was learning about world history in the 20th century including World War II. Charly’s sponsorship covered the cost of a class field trip to the mountains of Nicaragua. He was also able to participate in the Independence Day parade as one of the top students of his class.

April 2016

Charly started his third year of high school in February 2016. He received his uniform, shoes, backpack, school supplies, and an athletic outfit to participate in his PE class. Charly continues to work hard and to succeed in school. He has been enjoying his science class most of all. He loves learning about nature and living things. Charly has been growing so much in his personal life. He has become very involved in youth Bible study through New Song. He was one of 10 youth who were chosen to go on a day-long mission trip to the neighboring city of Leon. Charly is a funny and kind-hearted kid who is always looking for ways to help others. We are excited to see how he will continue to grow in this new year!

Fall 2016

Charly continues to do well is his third year of high school. He has A’s and B’s in all of his classes except for math, which has been his biggest challenge this year. Charly has been most interested in their study of electricity in his science class. He received a new uniform and pair of shoes for the second semester of classes. Through his sponsorship, Charly has been able to complete several class projects and attend a field trip with his school to the capital city of Managua. He was also able to receive medical care and medicine through the New Song clinic. In May, Charly celebrated his 15th birthday. Thanks to his sponsorship, Charly was able to celebrate his birthday at home with his family. Charly has continued to grow and serve this year. He is now working as a Sunday school helper working with the 7-9 year old boys. Charly loves working with these boys!
