Eliezer is so thankful to be able to continue with sponsorship! Thank you for supporting his academic success. He began his second year of high school at the beginning of February. Eliezer family supports his academic success in huge ways and always pushes him to do well. He struggles some in a few of his classes, but that doesn’t stop him from working hard. His sponsorship helps his family by providing all the things he needs for school. This means a lot to them as they have 3 kids in high school and one in university. Eliezer’s sponsorship gave him a uniform, backpack, school shoes, and supplies to begin the year well. Eliezer continues to be a part of New Song’s English classes and extra tutoring provided by staff on a weekly basis.

November 2015

Eliezer is working very hard in his second year of high school. He received passing grades on his first two report cards. His top grades are in culture, civics, English, and physical education. Even though school can be difficult for him, he works hard and his family pushes him to do well. In June, Eliezer’s father (the pastor of one of New Song’s outreach churches) was brought to the United States by a doctor who donated new prosthetic legs to him. Eliezer’s dad lost both of his legs in the war from the knee down and has been using substandard prosthetics until now. This has been a huge blessing for Eliezer’s family and their church. Eliezer’s church recently moved locations in hopes of reaching a new community. They are excited and looking forward to what God has in store. Through Eliezer’s sponsorship, he received his second uniform and pair of school shoes for the year. He was also able to receive needed school supplies and funds to complete several class assignments.

April 2016

Eliezer successfully completed his second year of high school in November. During the break from school, Eliezer and his family moved to a new home close to the location of their new church. Eliezer was very excited about the move because they are now living much closer to town and now has a significantly shorter commute to school. He began the new school year in February. Eliezer received his uniform, shoes, backpack, school supplies and an athletic outfit to participate in his PE class. Eliezer, along with some of the other children and youth from his church, participated in a special youth service. They learned two choreographed dances that they performed at their church. Eliezer did a wonderful job and enjoyed participating in this event.

Fall 2016

For the first several months of school, Eliezer only attended classes on Saturdays and Sundays because his school building was under construction. Thankfully they are now back in their regular building and studying daily. Eliezer works had in school, but his classes have always been difficult for him, especially Language and Literature. Eliezer has a 79% average overall in his classes. His best grades are 100% in PE, 90% in Cultural Studies and 87% in Vocational Studies. His most difficult classes are English and Language Arts. In math, he has been learning about polynomials. In science, Eliezer learned to differentiate between animal and plant cells and to identify their parts. Eliezer received his new uniform and shoes for the second semester of classes. He was also able to receive extra school supplies that he needed to complete class projects and homework.
