Justin is so excited to be sponsored! This is such a blessing to him and his mom. Justin started 2nd grade in February 2015. He received his uniform, shoes, backpack, and school supplies that he needs to be successful in his classes. Justin’s teacher comments that he has difficulty with his behavior and self-control in class. He is often distracting to other students. Our sponsorship staff has been meeting with him and talking with him about his behavior in class. He has a sweet heart, but often lashes out when he’s angry. We have been encouraging him and advising him on how to deal with conflicts in healthy ways. We are excited to see how Justin will grow both academically and emotionally this year through the discipleship offered through his sponsorship. His favorite class is Cultural Studies. Justin reads well and enjoys books. He has started attending tutoring sessions with our New Song staff.

November 2015

Sponsorship has made a tremendous difference in Justin’s life. We are so proud of him and the progress that he has made since joining our program! Justin has been attending tutoring sessions with our sponsorship staff. Through his sponsorship, his grades have improved. Also having people who believe in him and are pushing him to do his best has dramatically improved his attitude in class. His teacher says that his conduct has improved greatly. He now has a B-average overall with his best grade in PE (90%). Justin received his new uniform and shoes for the second semester of classes. He was also able to receive several books that he needed for his classes as well as participate in celebrations at his school for Mother’s Day, Children’s Day, and Father’s Day. When Justin was sick earlier this year, the New Song clinic provided him with free medical care and medicine. Sponsorship has not only helped support Justin’s personal and academic growth, but has also connected his family with the local church. Since Justin’s involvement in the program, his family has begun attending the church at New Song. We are excited to see the way that Justin and his family will continue to grow through this program!
