All of the classes in 4th year have been working on creating a garden at the school. Ramon has been enjoying this work. He has a C average overall in his classes. December 2015

This has been an extremely difficult time for Ramon and his family. In August, it came to light that Ramon’s dad had been having an affair. He left his family for this other woman. The entire family has been grieving greatly. Please pray healing and provision for this family. We were able to provide some food provisions for the family while Ramon’s mom looked for work to be able to support her family as a now-single mother. Ramon maintains a B- average in his classes overall with his best grades in Math (100%) and English (87%). However, he did say that it has been difficult to focus on his schoolwork with everything that they are facing at home. Ramon has been carrying a large burden as the oldest male in the home. He feels responsible for helping his mom to care for his younger siblings. Ramon and his family are very tight-knit and strong in their faith. Despite their hardships, they continue to comfort one another, rely on the Lord’s strength, and move forward with their lives. Through his sponsorship, Ramon received a new uniform and pair of shoes for the second semester of classes. He was also able to participate in a field trip with his school to the capital city of Managua to see the national science fair. Please continue to pray for Ramon and his family as they walk through this difficult time.

April 2016

He has been working in class to come up with experiments. His easiest class is English. Ramon has been doing a little better personally but still struggling with his parents’ separation. He began helping coach a team in New Song’s baseball league. He enjoys getting to work with the kids and one of his friends from his neighborhood. Please continue praying for Ramon and his family.
